Critical Manufacturing's story began in 2009, born from the vision of a group of experienced software engineers and manufacturing experts who spun out from Critical Software. Recognizing a gap in the market for modern, flexible manufacturing execution systems (MES) tailored to the complexities of high-tech industries, they set out to build a solution from the ground up. Their goal was to empower manufacturers to embrace the future of Industry 4.0 with a platform that was not just a system of record, but a driver of innovation and efficiency.

Over the years, the company rapidly established itself as a leader in the MES space, particularly within the semiconductor, electronics, and medical device sectors. Their commitment to cutting-edge technology and deep domain expertise attracted a global client base and significant industry recognition. This trajectory of growth and excellence culminated in a strategic milestone in 2018, when Critical Manufacturing was acquired by ASMPT, a global technology and market leader in hardware and software solutions for the semiconductor and electronics industries. Today, operating as a subsidiary of ASMPT, Critical Manufacturing continues to expand its global footprint, helping manufacturers worldwide navigate the complexities of digital transformation with its state-of-the-art MES platform.
