About Crisis Connections
What began in 1964 as a response to a tragic incident has transformed into Crisis Connections, a vital nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support to individuals in crisis throughout Seattle, King County, and across Washington State. Our mission is clear: to foster resilience and well-being for all by connecting people with accessible and compassionate support. Each year, more than 632,000 individuals reach out to us seeking help with mental health concerns, substance abuse issues, and emotional support, reflecting the critical need for our services.
Crisis Connections operates a range of programs, including the 24-Hour Crisis Line, Teen Link, and the Washington Recovery Help Line, ensuring that assistance is available to those who need it most. We have also significantly expanded our outreach and resources, employing a passionate team of approximately 250 staff and over 450 volunteers. Together, they deliver services in over 150 languages to cater to our diverse community, exemplifying our commitment to inclusivity and understanding.
