Position Overview:
The Senior Market Access & Reimbursement will drive reimbursement strategy for Advanced Wound Care (AWC) products ensuring alignment with the Center of Excellence's goals to secure sustainable reimbursement, proactively address policy risks, and integrate reimbursement requirements into clinical trial designs. This role requires close collaboration with clinical development, regulatory affairs, and commercial teams to embed market access considerations across the product life cycle. This role will be part of the newly formed Market Access COE and report into the Senior Director, Market Access and Reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead payer engagement strategies in the US for Medicare, Medicaid and private insurers to secure favorable coverage policies for advanced wound care technologies.
- Lead global payer strategies and submissions with support of in-country commercial teams.
- Align market access initiatives with product launch timelines, ensuring reimbursement readiness 12 to 18 months pre-launch.
- Synthesize key reimbursement activities globally in dashboard format.
- Analyze global legislative and regulatory changes to anticipate reimbursement challenges and develop contingency plans.
- Partner with clinical teams to design trials that capture payer relevant endpoints (e.g., cost-effectiveness, real-world utilization data for HTA's and dossiers.
- Assess emerging markets and inform M&A potential.
- Create training materials for sales and medical affairs teams on reimbursement nuances including prior authorization processes and documentation requirements
- Assist in developing, tracking, and executing COE strategic initiatives and goals.
- Drive cross-functional projects that align with the company’s priorities and vision.
- Ensure operational processes are optimized and key initiatives are progressing.
- Manage vendors and budget for Market Access data tools and resources.
Skills & Experience:
- At least 5 years in Global Market Access and Reimbursement within medical devices, biotechnology or wound care industries.
- Demonstrated track record of payer engagement.
- Experience working cross functionally with clinical, regulatory and commercial teams.
- Proficiency in HTA frameworks (ICER, NICE).
- Ability to translate clinical data into economic value proposition for payers and policy makers.
- Proven capability to translate complex reimbursement concepts to internal stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of US reimbursement including DME.
- Excellent research and analytic skills,
- Outstanding project management skills, including communication and change management,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with high level of self-awareness and maturity,
- Strong problem-solving, and decision-making skills,
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams,
- Highly proficient in the Microsoft, research, and business intelligence tools,
- Familiarity with global health systems and strong global mindset,
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively under conditions of uncertainty and ambiguity, and
- Ability to effectively prioritize and organize responsibilities to achieve established deadlines.
Qualifications/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.

- Key internal customers may include global market access and reimbursement colleagues, commercial teams, education teams, new product planning teams, R&D, clinical science and operations, medical affairs, and business development and legal teams.
- Key external customers may include vendors, clinicians (customers, clinical researchers, key opinion leaders, payers, and government agencies.
Travel Requirements
Travel will be required up to 15% of the time, mostly within US and Europe.
Working Conditions
This is a remote-based position, but the successful candidate will be expected to reside in the US Eastern or Central time zone.
