We’re seeking a senior Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) with deep expertise in SQL, Azure SQL, Power BI, SSRS, and SSAS. In this customer-facing role, you’ll lead strategic technical engagements, advise IT and business leaders, and shape cloud strategies that drive innovation and business value. You’ll guide customers through architecture design, deployment, and operational excellence—helping them scale AI solutions and modernize their data ecosystems on Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities:
Build trusted relationships with IT and business leaders to shape their cloud data strategy, emphasizing SQL-based analytics and reporting.
Lead architectural design sessions to implement secure, scalable data solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, SSAS, and Power BI.
Design and deploy end-to-end data architectures that integrate structured and unstructured data sources using Azure SQL and Microsoft Fabric.
Develop enterprise-grade dashboards and reports in Power BI and SSRS, enabling data-driven decision-making across business units.
Implement data governance frameworks with Azure Purview, ensuring proper cataloging, lineage, and classification of SQL-based assets.
Guide customers in optimizing SQL workloads and integrating Power BI, SSRS, and SSAS with Azure SQL for real-time analytics and visualization.
Lead technical workshops and proof-of-concepts focused on SQL performance tuning, Power BI modeling, SSAS cube design, and Azure data services.
Provide strategic guidance on data modernization, including migration from legacy SQL systems, SSRS report servers, and SSAS multidimensional/tabular models to Azure SQL and Synapse.
Resolve technical blockers related to SQL query optimization, Power BI integration, SSRS report performance, and Azure resource configuration.
Inspire innovation by helping customers leverage SQL, Power BI, SSRS, and SSAS to unlock insights and accelerate their cloud transformation.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or cloud solution delivery with a strong SQL foundation.
Deep expertise in On-Prem and Azure SQL Database, Power BI, Azure Synapse Analytics, SSRS, and SSAS.
Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, optimizing performance, and designing relational and analytical data models (including SSAS tabular and multidimensional).
Demonstrated success in building scalable Power BI and SSRS reporting solutions integrated with Azure SQL and other cloud data sources.
Experience designing and maintaining SSAS models, including DAX/MDX calculations, partitioning strategies, and processing optimization.
Experience with ELT/ETL pipelines, data lake architecture, and real-time analytics using SQL-based tools.
Familiarity with Azure Purview, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks is a plus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and business audiences.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent certifications preferred.
