At Commercial Metals Company (CMC), we believe that what’s inside counts. Since our founding in 1915, we have grown from a single scrap yard in Dallas, Texas, into a Fortune 500 global leader in sustainable steel and metal manufacturing. Our culture is built on a steadfast foundation of integrity, dependability, and a relentless drive for innovation. We are not just manufacturing products; we are building the essential structures that support our communities—from the highways and bridges we drive on to the hospitals and schools that serve our families.

Our commitment to sustainability is at the very core of our operations and identity. We are proud to be a pioneer in green steelmaking, utilizing electric arc furnace (EAF) technology to produce steel with significantly lower carbon emissions than traditional integrated steelmaking methods. We recycle billions of pounds of scrap metal annually, turning what was once waste into strong, sustainable steel products. This dedication to the environment is matched only by our dedication to our people. We foster a supportive, inclusive, and safety-focused workplace where every employee is empowered to reach their full potential and contribute to our shared success.

We view our team as a family, united by a shared passion for excellence and a desire to make a positive impact on the world. Whether it’s through our industry-leading safety programs, our active community involvement, or our continuous investment in cutting-edge technologies like our revolutionary micro mills, we are constantly striving to be better. At CMC, we are not just making steel; we are building a stronger, safer, and more sustainable future for generations to come.
