Position Summary: Cognitive is seeking a Technical Writer who will be responsible for creating technical documents and manuals, maintains and documents meeting outcomes and action items, explains complex information in a clear and concise manner and working with our development teams to ensure accuracy of product descriptions.
Duties:
- Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals
- Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts
- Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals
- Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
- Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
- Manage updates and revisions to technical literature
- Manage and maintains meeting documentation
Required Skills:
- Experience in documenting technical content, including JSON, APIs, software specifications, product release notes, and product user guides
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong attention to detail
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
Required Education, Experience, and Clearance:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Proven experience working in a technical writing position
- Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust - Medium Background Investigation (MBI)
- US Citizenship required
