We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-oriented Server Ops Systems Engineerto join our team. The role focuses on maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing servers to ensure reliability, performance, and security across on-premises and cloud environments.
To be considered for this position, US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance is required. This is a funded position and is contingent upon verification of a security clearance prior to starting with Cloudshape.
Primary Duties Include but Are Not Limited To:
Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers.
Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations.
Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
Collaborate with network, storage, and application teams to integrate server resources.
Automate routine tasks using scripts or configuration management tools.
Maintain system documentation, generate reports, and support audits or compliance initiatives.
Participate in upgrades, patch management, and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of experience
- An ability to work independently, multi-task, and communicate effectively will be required for this role.
- US Citizen with an active Secret security clearance
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments, networking, and security fundamentals
- Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
