The story of CLICKnCRUISE began with a spark of inspiration in 2018, when founder Petra Hajdu-Pásztor fell in love with the shipping industry during a ship tour in Southampton. After returning to Hungary and gaining experience at a major travel agency, she realized that while the world of travel was rapidly digitizing, the cruise sector remained stuck in the past. Booking a cruise was often a cumbersome, manual process involving lengthy inquiries and back-and-forth communication with agents—a stark contrast to the instant ease of booking hotels or flights online. Determined to bridge this gap, Petra set out to transform the industry.
In 2021, she joined forces with co-founder and CTO Ákos Tóth-Máté, a seasoned engineering manager with experience at tech giants like Prezi and Skyscanner.
