Position Overview
The Senior Operations Specialist will work in an operational back-office capacity, focusing on client and account validation for both deposit and loan accounts. This is a non-client-facing position that requires a strong control mindset and the ability to provide operational, administrative, analytical, and service support to both front-line personnel and the Bank’s clients.
Key Responsibilities
BSA/AML Operational Support
- Provide support for Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) operational and control responsibilities from an enterprise-wide perspective.
- Maintenance and Validation Services
- Support and enhance processes related to client and account validation.
- Analyze client documentation to ensure the adequacy and accuracy of information.
- Procedure Development
- Develop and maintain procedures related to client and account validation processes.
- IRA Coordination
- Act as a backup for IRA (Individual Retirement Account) coordination and validation.
- Reporting and Escalation
- Assist with daily and monthly reporting tasks.
- Escalate exceptions as necessary.

WORKING CONDITIONS
·This role operates within a hybrid office environment, 2 days onsite remaining days remote.
At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $63,000- $72,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
