The Principal Geospatial Scientist will lead enterprise-level geospatial data management initiatives for DHS, focusing on data acquisition, integration, governance, and metadata/QA/QC standards. The role involves coordination with interagency partners and researching emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, or related field.
- 12+ years in geospatial data management.
- 16+ years of experience without a Bachelor’s or Masters degree.
- Expertise with ArcGIS Enterprise, PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
- Proven leadership in large-scale data initiatives.
- Knowledge of FGDC and DHS metadata standards.
- Security Clearance
