Central Square Foundation

Central Square Foundation (CSF) is a non-profit organization established in 2012, working to transform the school education system in India. The organization focuses on enhancing learning outcomes for all school-going children, especially those from low-income communities, through system-level reforms. As a catalytic enabler, CSF's work spans innovation and policy to practice, driving learning impact at scale across 14 states in India. The organization has collaborated with 11 state governments to design and execute statewide Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) missions.

CSF's work focuses on five key areas: Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), EdTech, Early Childhood Education (ECE), School Governance, and High Potential Students. In the FLN space, CSF supports governments to achieve universal FLN by grade 3 through evidence-based approaches. Their EdTech initiative leverages technology to improve student learning both at home and in school, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence to enhance educational outcomes. The organization follows an evidence-led system change approach, working with governments and key stakeholders to improve student learning at scale through sustainable, system-led approaches grounded in rigorous research and high-quality assessments.
