We’re excited by the fact our team is continuing to expand. And, as we continue to grow, we’re on the hunt for a Systems Administrator - Patching Specialist who will be at the forefront of maintaining the integrity and security of our clients' systems by overseeing patch management processes.

Requirements

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Manage and maintain Windows servers versions 2012 and above.
  • Perform patch management using NABLE software.
  • Ensure smooth operation of Windows server environment.
  • Monitor and review patching reports and alerts from various sources
  • Assess the impact and urgency of patches and prioritize them based on the Essential 8 framework and individual clients risk appetite.
  • Apply patches to servers using automated or manual methods, and verify that they are installed correctly and functioning properly.
  • Document and report on patching activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise from patching activities, such as server downtime, performance degradation, or compatibility problems.

Here's what you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Extensive experience in patching Windows servers versions 2012 and above.
  • Familiar with the Essential 8 framework and its implementation guidelines.
  • Hands-on experience with NABLE for patch management.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Technical leadership skills in troubleshooting and ticket resolution.
  • Proficiency in utilizing ConnectWise for time tracking and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
