We’re looking for an amazing Senior Director, Commercial Sales to fill this role. You’ll be responsible for leading the global sales commercial strategy for HAL/SBN by directing all aspects of sales data and performance analysis, developing commercial tactics, building profitable sales strategies and acting as the primary strategic advisor to the SVP, Sales. The Senior Director, Commercial Sales Strategy will drive the commercial strategy by interfacing with the Revenue Management, Strategy & Performance Management, Revenue Analytics and Groups teams. In addition, this role will formulate and drive the override incentive strategy for trade partnerships, develop and execute internal sales incentives for all regions, and will steer the administration of the company’s Sales Force CRM agency & trade marketing platform. development, and leads project delivery through agile best practices and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple and simultaneous commercial sales initiatives, leveraging data analytics and employing cross-department collaboration to drive demand, build higher yield and partner profitability, and lower acquisition costs.
  • Lead the Commercial Sales Strategy team with a commitment to the Culture Essentials and the Attitude of Gratitude leadership philosophy.
  • Lead the North American Sales commercial strategy for the bi-weekly Commercial Meetings.
  • Analyze sales data to provide SVP, Sales with recommendations and strategies to drive trade demand.
  • Leverage data analysis to develop new trade programs to drive demand, build higher yielding business, and lower acquisition costs.
  • Design travel partner incentive strategies, by aligning commercial needs with travel partner business models, to effectively influence sales behaviors, enhance market penetration and drive higher ROI
  • Direct all phases of agency/partner contract lifecycle, from annual, commercial terms formulation to execution.
  • Generate periodic performance analyses for executive stakeholders.
  • Develop, recommend and implement incremental incentive programs tailored to the company’s tactical needs.
  • Lead and direct all aspects of the annual sales financial plan and periodic forecasts for all HAL/SBN sales teams globally: G&A, A&P and Overrides
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in commercial sales strategy.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of commercial sales strategy enhancements.
  • Use financial metrics to assess the impact of changes on revenue and costs.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and standard operating procedures as they pertain to the SOX Audit process and Ethics and Compliance.
  • Responsible for the quality and integrity for the commercial sales strategy budget.
  • Drive the company’s profitability assessment of the brand by making recommendations and implementing initiatives to improve the performance.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops a great team of Sales professionals.
  • Builds and/or supports this high performing team; recognizes and rewards achievement.
  • Direct the successful application and on-going implementation of Sales Force all Sales divisions for both Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud platforms.
  • Lead the annual development external and internal targets for all global sales divisions for both HAL and SBN in collaboration with Revenue Planning.
  • Direct the on-going analytics and reporting to provide all targeted parties, both internally and externally, with regular achievement updates assuring timely payout of all earned incentives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Masters Degree Preferred in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, STEM, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of Business and Commercial Strategy experience with exposure to finance / analytics / project management / project-solving / database management
  • Minimum 6 year working on multidisciplinary teams in large corporations.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
  • Proficient in basics of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principals)
  • Attention to detail and a methodical process in performing work assignments are critical
  • Capable of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Capable of developing and managing budgets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt easily to change.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex analysis across all levels of the organization in a simple and quickly understandable format with the appropriate amount of detail and explanation. Exceptional listening skills.
  • Critical Professional related Technical & Computer Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Executive presentation development and visualization
  • Proven entrepreneurial mindset and successful track-record of delivering results
  • Ability to lead and mentor direct reports
  • Proactive and self-driven
  • Committed to showing up authentically and bringing their whole self to their career
  • Ability to travel less than 25%
  • Power BI, Power Pivot, Tableau, SQL, or other coding experience preferred
  • Salesforce experience preferred

  • Base Salary Range: $135,500 to $182,900. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
