About The Role

​​We are looking for a Zero Emission Fleet Advisor to join our Trucks and Off-road Team in support of WAZIP and the Northwest Seaport Alliance in the greater Puget Sound area of Washington state. The Fleet Advisor will provide case support and concierge services to participating fleets interested in transitioning to zero-emission vehicles. You will support and interact with medium- and heavy-duty fleets throughout the greater Seattle-Tacoma Metropolitan area, as well as the state of Washington, who are looking to learn more about potential pathways and resources that aid a fleet in its transition to zero-emission technologies. This role will also attend in-person and virtual outreach events quarterly to educate and recruit fleets into the program. You will provide outreach, administrative, and technical support, and interact with related staff at CALSTART and external stakeholders such as Washington trucking fleets, dealers, non-profits, government agencies, and OEMs as needed.​

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the fleet engagement team with administrative tasks, such as data entry, scheduling client follow-ups, and monitoring the fleet support inbox.
  • Support medium- and heavy-duty trucking fleets in their transition to zero-emission technology.
  • Help connect fleets with the appropriate stakeholders and move them through the WAZIP Technical Assistance process.
  • Lead the development of accessible and targeted resources for Washington state.
  • Assist drayage truck drivers serving the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma in understanding the zero-emission vehicle landscape .
  • Support community-based organizations with outreach and technical assistance to fleets in their respective communities, with occasional travel to community and industry events within Washington, particularly in the greater Seattle-Tacoma area.
  • Support project management tasks for a portfolio of Washington fleets and follow up on key project deliverables for each specific case.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, sales, or client relations.
  • Experience working in logistics, transportation, nonprofit administration, community engagement, or government relations.
  • Experience in customer database entry and management.
  • Knowledge of effective customer service tactics and Salesforce data entry.
  • Basic understanding of or interest in the zero-emission vehicle landscape.
  • Case management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to use digital tools in support of fleet operational questions.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems with limited supervision. ​

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with public funders or government programs.
  • Familiarity with clean transportation, sustainability initiatives, or zero-emission technologies.
  • Understanding of grant structures, incentive programs, or public sector workflows.
