Role

As a Divisional Lead, your role will involve leading a team of accounting consultants and overseeing operations specific to helping our venture-backed startup clients succeed. Additionally, you will contribute to the business development efforts and leverage technology to optimize internal processes.

Your Typical, Atypical, Day

  • Lead and manage a team of accounting consultants, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to maximize their potential. Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment within the division.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve divisional goals and objectives, including hitting revenue and margin targets. Collaborate with leadership to align the division's activities with the company strategy.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients assigned directly to you, ensuring exceptional service delivery and building long-term relationships. Understand the client's needs and provide strategic advice and solutions.

  • Act as a point of escalation for clients assigned to your direct reports, ensuring exceptional service delivery and building long-term relationships. Guide your team on how to best meet their clients’ needs.

  • Identify new business opportunities and lead business development efforts for the division. Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, nurture leads, and participate in client onboarding.

  • Oversee and manage complex projects, ensuring timely completion, quality deliverables, and adherence to client expectations.

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices to ensure compliance and minimize risks. Implement adequate internal controls and processes within the division.

About You

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • 3- 5 years of proven experience. Preferably in the Clean Energy or Clean Tech sector.

  • Building and Overseeing Accounting Processes for Full Cycle Accounting

  • Financial Statement Analysis

  • Chart of Accounts Review and Recommendations

  • Cost of Goods Sold Guidance

  • Prior Client-Facing Experience

  • Preparation of Financial Statements, Reports and Presentations

  • Accounting for Intercompany Activity and Performing Financial Statement Consolidations

  • Accounting for Unrealized Gains and Losses

  • Familiarity with Equity Accounting and Reconciliations for Stock, and Convertible Notes

  • Advanced knowledge of ASC 606 - Revenue Recognition and ASC 842 - Lease Accounting

  • Experience Overseeing the Work Product of Others

  • Knowledge of the Financial Due Diligence Process

  • Passionate about Nature Positivity/Carbon Neutrality

  • Identifying Clean Energy Metrics for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions

  • Preparing ESG Reports

  • Strong working knowledge of software is key in this role. On a daily basis, you’ll be using the entire G-Suite, Quickbooks online, Ramp, Expensify + Concur. You’ll also be using Zoom and other video conferencing tools to facilitate client meetings.

The base pay range target for the role described in this job description is $. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors such as candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data. In addition, full-time regular positions are eligible for, 401(k), health benefits, and other benefits; some of these benefits may be available for part-time.
