We are seeking visionary Founding Engineers to join our core team.
This is an equity-based role with the potential for a salary upon successful fundraising.
We’re looking for individuals with deep technical expertise and a proven track record of building serverless compute products — engineers who excel in fast-paced startup environments and are driven to shape the future of AI compute.
Responsibilities:
🔹 Design, build, and optimize the core product from the ground up.
🔹 Collaborate on strategic initiatives and product milestones.
🔹 Build and lead an exceptional technical team.
Qualifications:
This role focuses on end to end performance of the product, from bare metal and VM startup through GPU readiness, multi stage execution pipelines, and customer facing latency.
🔹 Deep expertise in VMMs and hypervisors (Cloud Hypervisor or relevant experience with Firecracker, KVM/QEMU, etc.), including VM lifecycle performance, snapshotting, image optimization, device and memory orchestration, and cold start reduction.
🔹 Strong experience optimizing virtualization and compute acceleration layers, including container, network, and storage virtualization, CPU/GPU isolation, CUDA drivers, VFIO/IOMMU, and high-performance memory usage.
🔹 Proven ability to optimize kernel, firmware, disk images, and boot processes for fast startup and low-latency execution.
🔹 Strong Linux systems knowledge, including shell scripting, process and filesystem management, networking, overlays, immutable infrastructure, and system security.
🔹 Experience in profiling and optimizing complex, multi-component systems, identifying bottlenecks across services, runtimes, and infrastructure, and validating improvements through testing and measurement.
🔹 Backend experience with Node.js, Prisma, MySQL, and API design (REST and streaming), plus experience working with AWS services (SDK, EC2, EFS, Lambda, ALB, VPC, IAM, and more).

Compensation:
Equity stake based on experience, contributions, and other factors. Details will be shared during interviews. We plan to hire one to two people for this role, and salaried positions are expected once funding is secured.
