Maintenance Planner - East
Responsibilities:
- Ensure preventative and corrective maintenance tasks are entered into the Computerized Maintenance Management system.
- Create work orders, print out preventative maintenance work packages and provide to technicians;
- Ensure all work packages sent to the field are in compliance with all applicable regulatory licenses, permits, and codes of operation and conduct;
- Close out preventative maintenance work packages when complete;
- Administratively support and/or manage maintenance and repair projects, define scope, specify and procure equipment and services, vendor selection/qualification, prepare safety plans, manage project execution in the field;
- Develop station outage plans that fall in line with the annual maintenance schedule;
- Assist the Operations Manager in developing annual budgets by providing upcoming maintenance work scopes and budgetary numbers;
- Become familiar with safety, environmental, operational, and maintenance procedures to the used in the field;
- Recommend reliability improvement efforts in assigned area, which could include coaching or mentoring field technicians;
- Plan and coordinate NERC testing and tracking in accordance with compliance program;
- Be available for, and respond to, calls during power system disruptions to administratively support resolution and repairs.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and verbal & written communication skills;
- Excellent reasoning ability, critical thinking skills and organizational ability;
- Understanding risk and means/methods to manage risk to accepted levels;
- Ability to manage several priorities and work within tight deadlines;
- Well organized, able to multitask, resourceful and shows initiative;
- Proficient in Microsoft office products including Word, Power Point, Outlook and Project;
- Prior experience using an computerized maintenance management system (IFS, Maximo, E-maint, etc.)
- Maintain a valid driver’s license – travel required 30-40%.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in mechanical or electrical Technology or Engineering (preferred), or related field, or Military experience.
- A minimum of four years of experience in the maintenance of power station equipment maintenance (including transmission, distribution and Solar PV generation systems),
- Working knowledge of Solar PV generation systems and related equipment, standards, codes and regulations,
- Experience with reading (and working from) drawings, blueprints, specifications, schematics,
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel) and ability to learn additional software related to the ordering of parts and materials,
- Knowledge of related industry standards such as OSHA and NFPA and knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations and Safety/Environmental rules and regulations;
- Ability to plan and administer projects and corresponding budgets.
