Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a fast-growing US-based vacation rental business. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payments, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and helping streamline accounting processes across a remote, global team.

You’re comfortable working with US-based stakeholders, communicating clearly, and managing your workload independently while contributing to a larger team.
Your Responsibilities as an Accounts Payable Accountant would be:
• Process and manage accounts payable transactions, including invoices, bills, and expense reports
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and service providers
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies efficiently
• Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Communicate and coordinate with US-based vendors and internal stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and workflows
Qualifications:
• 1+ year of experience supporting a US-based business (non-negotiable)
• Experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting (junior to intermediate level)
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Clear and professional communication skills, especially with international stakeholders
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup while staying collaborative
