The Medical Science Liaison Agent is responsible for fostering dialogue and scientific consensus, raising awareness, and providing information on diseases and assets by establishing and maintaining scientific relationships between peers. The role involves ensuring that external stakeholders have the necessary knowledge to determine the appropriate treatment for each patient and make informed decisions about treatment. The agent will provide an exceptional customer experience and generate flawless satisfaction through orchestrated and value-based commitments.
Requirements
- Doctorate, for example, M.D., Ph.D., or Pharm.D.
- Experience as a Medical Science Liaison Agent in a specific therapeutic domain and (or) a related scientific or clinical field
- Familiarity with local healthcare systems and related clinical practices
- Scientific and clinical expertise
- Stakeholder engagement or account management expertise
- Priority given to patient journeys and understanding of these journeys
- Networking and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Business acumen
- Persuasive and value-based communication skills
- Technical and digital skills necessary to execute all aspects of the role
- Strong leadership, proactive attitude, and growth-oriented mindset
- Ability to demonstrate agility, emotional intelligence, accountability, and trustworthiness
- Knowledge of guidelines governing the pharmaceutical industry in Canada (e.g., Innovative Medicines Canada, Pharmaceutical Advertising Advisory Board)
