The journey of BME Strategies began with a foundational belief that health is a fundamental human right and that every community, regardless of its circumstances, deserves access to the highest quality public health services. This conviction spurred founder Bryan Murphy-Eustis to establish the firm in 2004. His firsthand experience working in local public health in Massachusetts revealed a critical gap: municipalities were struggling to meet new mandates and utilize resources aimed at bolstering their emergency preparedness and response capabilities. What started as a focused effort to help these local entities soon blossomed into a much broader mission. Organically, the firm's reputation grew as it successfully developed emergency plans for Cambridge, Somerville, and numerous other cities, eventually crafting the statewide plan for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
