Translates graphic visual and interactive designs into the presentation layer for highly interactive web and mobile applications using responsive design and development techniques. Develops prototypes and performs hands-on coding to develop and integrate the application user interface, leveraging technologies such as ReactJS, Java and Swift, and various APIs
Deep understanding and experience in concept development, visual exploration and final execution of design directions. Works collaboratively across teams to ensure on-brand and technically sound visual design solutions. Key competencies include concept development for websites, banner ads, prototypes. Strong understanding of Information Architecture, usability, and overall user interface issues and the ability to apply that knowledge in producing interactive solutions.
Requirements
1. This lead holds deep expertise in design and front-end development
a. responsible for validating additions to the Library, in both Design Assets, and Code Snippets.
2. Should be an expert in Figma
a. guide other contributors on workflow, component composition and auto-layout norms,
3. Good communication skills, and pleasant to engage with
a. facilitates regular client reviews (with design leads) of component additions to the DLS, with the ability to articulate the value.
4. A good technical writer
a. can succinctly document the purpose of the molecular (components) and organism (patterns) housed in the DLS.
5. A detail oriented individual
a. will ensure high quality of the reference code snippets and design assets, when integrating items into the Design System for re-use, ensuring inclusions work as intended, without adverse results and a reliable naming convension.
6. Is comfortable with DLS governance and tools
a. will combine the right tools to minimise the amount of manual management required, and avoid design system drift between design artefacts, and working code
7. Have demonstrated experience in leading teams creating Design Language Systems and component libraries
8. Demonstrated track record of managing design teams in large-scale/ global design and development programs
9. Minimum 12 years experience in Design and Development
