The Role

Flutter Functions Global Sportsbook & Trading (GST) aims to empower Flutter brands shaping the future of sports betting by helping to drive their success and growth. With over 400 colleagues working in roles across trading, operations, product, delivery, architecture and engineering, and by partnering closely with more than 1,100 people in the wider global trading and sportsbook community at Flutter, GST's mission is to raise the bar to be #1 on all sports; share Flutter's most innovative sportsbook products globally; transform Risk & Trading operations, unleashing the power of data; co-create the next generation sportsbook and build a culture of inclusion, innovation, personal growth and leadership excellence.
The Delivery Lead will focus on making software delivery happen within an engaged, supported and motivated team environment. They will provide the transparency (via tooling), facilitation and optimisation of the product & software delivery machine within a value stream to ensure maximum effectiveness of the squads within the value stream. The role will optimise the delivery lifecycle to enable regular release of value, bring predictability to change and ensure delivery balances product, engineering, quality assurance, service operations and architectural goals.
The role will work in close partnership with the Engineering Manager, Quality Assurance, Product Manager, Architect / Principal Engineer and Service Operations to manage transformation and continuous improvement for their value stream and the squads within. The role will also coach the Engineering Manager and Product Owner in the continuous improvement of squads, and contribution of squad members to the delivery process.

What you’ll be doing

• Support autonomous, cross-functional teams to plan and deliver effectively through Agile and Lean practices
• Promote delivery discipline and a DevOps culture to ensure ownership from design to operations
• Facilitate delivery ceremonies including planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release readiness
• Track and analyse delivery metrics (e.g., cycle time, throughput, quality) to support continuous improvement
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Architects, and Service Operations to align goals and manage dependencies
• Create and maintain delivery roadmaps, surfacing blockers, progress, and value delivered
• Identify and manage delivery risks, helping teams implement mitigation strategies
• Drive team coaching, improving ways of working, autonomy, and sustainable delivery
• Encourage knowledge sharing and support the development of the delivery community

We’d Like You To Master In

• Agile, Lean, and ideally DevOps practices applied in real-world software or infrastructure teams
• Leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, complex environment
• Delivery tooling such as Jira, GitHub, Confluence, and dashboards
• Working within cloud-native environments, particularly AWS, is a strong plus
• Facilitating team collaboration, decision-making, and continuous improvement
• Applying data and metrics to support delivery performance and team engagement
• Tailoring communication to a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

• A track record of enabling high-performing software and/or platform teams
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach teams and influence stakeholders
• Experience balancing multiple streams of work while maintaining alignment and flow
• Problem-solving mindset, with the confidence to navigate ambiguity and change
• Passion for delivery excellence, system thinking, and continuous learning
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe, AWS) are a nice to have
