Job Location:
This is a hybrid position, with the ability to work in Arlington, VA 2-3 days a week.

Job Description:
In this position as a Senior Business Development Analyst at Blake Willson Group (BWG), you will play a vital role in expanding our footprint within the federal contracting space. You will be responsible for conducting market research, tracking federal opportunities, and supporting capture and proposal efforts across the business development lifecycle. You will also collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, teaming partners, and government contacts to support the development of strategic pursuits and informed go-to-market decisions. In this position, you will also:
- Market Intelligence & Opportunity Tracking: Research and analyze federal market trends, agency forecasts, and procurement databases (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, FPDS, USAspending). Track and monitor targeted opportunities throughout the opportunity lifecycle (pipeline development, qualification, RFI, RFP stages).
- Capture & Proposal Support: Support capture managers and business development leads in pursuit planning and proposal strategies. Coordinate and contribute to capture activities, including SWOT analysis, teaming strategy, competitive assessments, and pricing research. Assist in drafting and reviewing proposal content, especially past performance, management approach, and executive summaries.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in building and maintaining relationships with government agency contacts, teaming partners, and internal stakeholders. Support the scheduling and preparation of customer meetings, industry days, and business development events.
- Pipeline Management & Reporting: Maintain opportunity data in BWG's CRM. Generate reports on pipeline status, win/loss metrics, and key business development KPIs for leadership review.
- Strategic Analysis: Analyze contract vehicles (e.g., GSA Schedules, IDIQs, GWACs) and recommend positioning strategies. Identify potential teaming partners and conduct capability gap assessments.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- 3+ years of experience in federal business development, capture, or proposal management.
- 1+ year of experience working with federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS) and the federal procurement lifecycle.
- 1+ year of experience using tools such as GovWin, SAM.gov, FPDS, and USAspending.
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting business development efforts for the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), or civilian agencies.
- Knowledge of small business programs such as 8(a), SDVOSB, or HUBZone.
- Familiarity with proposal development best practices (e.g., Shipley or APMP methodologies).
- Prior experience analyzing contract vehicles like GSA Schedules, GWACs, and IDIQs.
- Understanding of teaming strategies and capability gap analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
At Blake Willson Group, we believe in transparency and fairness in compensation practices. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 in the United States. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
