ABOUT THE ROLE

In this hybrid position (approximately 80% development and 20% administration), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom solutions on the Salesforce platform, as well as managing certain administrative tasks. You will ensure seamless integration with other systems, uphold high data quality standards, and provide configuration support. Working closely with business stakeholders, system administrators, and other development teams, you will deliver scalable and reliable solutions that meet evolving organisational needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Development (Primary Focus)

• Develop, test, and implement custom solutions on the Salesforce platform using declarative and programmatic tools, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
• Customise Salesforce applications to meet specific business requirements, including the creation and modification of custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and page layouts.
• Integrate Salesforce with other internal and external systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation using tools such as Salesforce Connect, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware platforms.
• Manage data within Salesforce, including data imports, exports, cleansing, deduplication, and maintaining data quality standards.

Administration (Secondary Focus)

• Assist in user management, including the creation and maintenance of user accounts, profiles, permission sets, and role hierarchies.
• Support ongoing configuration tasks such as updates to fields, layouts, and record types, ensuring the platform aligns with changing business processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot platform issues, performing routine health checks and optimisation of system performance.
• Collaborate with the team to define and implement security controls, sharing rules, and data access policies to maintain a secure environment.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
• Work closely with business stakeholders, system administrators, and other development teams to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation related to customisations, business processes, and integrations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and best practices. Explore new tools and technologies to enhance capabilities, improve development efficiency, and streamline administrative tasks. Requirements

Our expectations to you

  • In-depth understanding of the Salesforce platform, including its architecture, data model, and features. Proficiency with Salesforce declarative tools such as Process Builder, Workflow Rules, and Lightning App Builder.

  • Strong programming skills in Apex to build custom business logic and extend the functionality of Salesforce. Knowledge of Visualforce, Lightning Components, and JavaScript frameworks like Aura or Lightning Web Components.

  • Ability to customize and configure Salesforce applications using point-and-click tools from the Salesforce Setup menu. Proficiency in creating custom objects, fields, page layouts, workflows, etc.

  • Familiarity with integrating Salesforce with other systems using integration methods such as REST, SOAP, or middleware platforms like MuleSoft or Informatica. Proficiency with Salesforce APIs and tools like Salesforce Connect or Data Loader for data integration.

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data management best practices, including data modeling, data import/export, data cleansing, and data security.

  • Proficiency in identifying and resolving issues within Salesforce applications. Effective use of debugging and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Familiarity with the SDLC phases, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Knowledge of version control systems and release management processes.

  • Strong grasp of software engineering principles and best practices, including code reusability, modularity, maintainability, and scalability. Familiarity with unit testing frameworks, test-driven development (TDD), and writing optimized code.
