Job Summary:

Are you ready to start a new journey with a team of energized professionals advancing and connecting the world’s infrastructure? Bentley is looking for you! We are looking for an Application Engineer reporting to Solution Engineering Management to support key Bentley accounts.

Our Solution Engineering team partners with sales to showcase Bentley solutions to major global organizations. As an Application Engineer, you will prepare content and datasets, deliver product presentations, understand customer requirements, and communicate this knowledge within the organization.

We will rely on you for the following:

  • Promote Bentley solutions to infrastructure audiences.
  • Create presentations and demos showcasing Bentley applications.
  • Prepare datasets for user presentations and demos.
  • Conduct and/or support Discovery sessions, as required, define solution requirements that deliver against our accounts’ objectives.
  • Support sales and marketing events.
  • Contribute to proposal development and submission.
  • Provide feedback to Product Teams via established channels to improve products and collaborate with Product Teams on updates.
  • Research proactively and understand industry standards, and recommend product configurations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
  • Demonstrate the value of our technical solutions to designers, engineers, architects, contractors and owners, and help them achieve or exceed their business goals.
  • Connect with relevant stakeholders and users in the account during engagements and gather account-specific intelligence, feedback, and insights, and share with the account team for incorporation into account strategy and plans.
  • Communicate consistently, clearly, and timely manner with account stakeholders and internal colleagues including the account team. Attend and contribute to account team meetings as required, as determined by the account team.
  • Support sales opportunities and account planning, execute the Bentley Sales Process, and use Salesforce to document key activities.
  • Support a smooth transition to Services engagements through knowledge sharing.
  • Support in the delivery of training, as required.
  • Foster a culture of “One Bentley” and collaborate with internal stakeholders in a manner that benefits our accounts.

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, or a related field; preferably an infrastructure-related background.
  • 2+ years' experience in Information Management, BIM processes, or Electronic Document Management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and French
  • Technical sales experience in the infrastructure or related industry preferred.
  • Strong speaking, presentation, and demonstration skills.
  • Ability to explain complex topics to audiences of all levels of knowledge and seniority.
  • Independent judgment, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills using data to drive decisions.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new complex products.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effectively collaborate with teams, leveraging communication and project management methods to define objectives and deliver focus.
  • Knowledge of Bentley Systems solutions is preferred.
  • Travel to customer sites and software user conferences up to 50% of the time may be required.
