The Role As a member of the Migration Advisory team, the Migration Advisory Specialist works with Azul’s most important customers, ensuring a smooth and expedited transition to Azul technology. This role requires a broad range of technical skills, careful inter-departmental coordination, and practiced customer focus.
What You'll Do (aka Responsibilities)
- Help customers migrate to Azul technology
- Advise on migration strategy and planning
- Lead troubleshooting sessions and investigations
- Be a trusted technical advisor for customers
- Provide recommendations on best practices
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Customer Support to transition new customers
- Provide internal updates on customer migrations
- Maintain internal knowledge base
- Report on migration activity
- Offer product and tooling recommendations to product management

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
- 10+ years technical industry experience
- 5+ years' experience with customer-facing technical management
- Extensive Java experience
- Solid working knowledge of Linux
- Other platform knowledge (e.g., Windows desktops)
- Extensive scripting experience
- Experience with asset management tools (e.g., Flexera)
- Strong project management skills
- Java deployment experience
- Experience with legacy Java technologies (e.g., Applets, Web Start)
- DevOps skills
