Your Impact

As a Revenue System Accountant, you’ll be at the intersection of finance and technology, ensuring the seamless operation of financial systems, data accuracy, and compliance. In addition, you’ll support the Revenue Transformation Team and Corporate Revenue Team to contributes to revenue data innovations facilitating critical business insights that will fuel the growth of Axon’s vision and mission.

What You Do

Location: Remote
Reports to: Revenue Accountant Manager

  • Participate in month-end close activities related to revenue data processing and data reconciliation and to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness in financial reporting, all in accordance with GAAP.
  • Monitor data integrations between finance systems to identify and resolve issues, either independently or in partnership with IT teams.
  • Troubleshoot problems on complex revenue data sets and use effective data analytics skills to identify, analyze, and interpret how issues impact the revenue treatment to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on RevStream processing. Develop training materials and conduct workshops to ensure users have a comprehensive understanding of the system and finance processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the close and disclosure process. Scale and refine processes to improve efficiencies and incorporate best practices utilizing data to maximize process automation and reduce manual effort.
  • Prepare and maintain documents for system design, data flow, system procedures and general system information.
  • Assist with Transformation projects as assigned to improve the current process.
  • Review, test, and participate with implementation of system updates and other system configuration changes.
  • Maintain reporting and analytics to support revenue management system integrations and system checks to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Implement controls and maintain proper process documentation and evidence in accordance with SOX.
  • Provide support for other ad hoc analyses, user acceptance testing, and revenue related projects as needed.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, or ability to qualify, strongly preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years of finance system and analysis experience, revenue a plus
  • Recent public accounting experience or revenue experience with a publicly-traded company highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills are required for frequent interaction with financial and non-financial management
  • Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Concern for quality and Change agent for process improvements
  • deadlines
  • Experience working with Salesforce and RevStream is a plus
  • SQL Knowledge is a plus
  • Experience working with automation solutions, such as Alteryx or similar RPA vendors, a plus
  • Experience working with large datasets, including usage of Snowflake, Tableau or similar, a plus
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 72,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 108,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
