We are seeking a Manager, Data Governance & BI to join our Data Management, Governance and Business Intelligence team to lead data governance and cross-functional BI product delivery. This is a player-coach leadership role; you will manage a team of BI Developers and Data Analysts, while also blending strategic data governance leadership with direct ownership of high-impact data products. As a people manager you will oversee delivery, quality, and governance of shared assets and lead a team that supports both shared and domain-specific data initiatives. You will shape how we govern our data, define KPIs, and deliver reusable data models and Power BI dashboards. This role is central to our strategy of providing scalable, governed, and reusable data products that enable self-service analytics across departments.

If residing within commutable distance to one of our offices (Tustin, CA or Lehi, UT or Houston, TX or Dallas, TX), a hybrid schedule would be offered (3 days in office, 2 days work from home). Remote work may be considered for those outside of commutable distance to an office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

People Leadership

  • Manage a team of BI Developers and Data Analysts responsible for delivering data products, dashboards, and reusable datasets.
  • Set goals, coach team members, and support career development aligned to business and BI
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture that emphasizes trust, accountability, and
  • Oversee sprint planning, backlog management, and resource allocation to ensure efficient Data Governance Leadership
  • Define and operationalize enterprise-wide governance practices for shared corporate
  • Lead data stewardship, metadata, and access policy
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align cross-domain definitions and maintain high-quality, reusable
  • Enable decentralized, domain-owned analytics through self-service capabilities GTM/CX Data Product Ownership
  • Deliver standardized self-service data products used across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, and Professional Services.
  • Prioritize and define standardized KPIs and deliver certified models and dashboards for enterprise-wide consumption while enabling domain-specific extensions.
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders, engineers, and analysts to ensure that data across GTM and CX domains is accurate, accessible, and aligned to business priorities.

Enable Self-Service Analytics

  • Collaborate with domain-aligned analysts and functional leaders to support decentralized analytics through governed, self-service products and enable data to power future AI applications.
  • Ensure semantic layers and shared Power BI datasets are documented, governed, and widely

Foundational Data & Platform Leadership

  • Partner with engineering to build scalable data models, business rule-driven
  • Contribute to enterprise data modeling and tool standardization
  • Promote consistent usage patterns across business units and data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years of experience in BI, data governance, or analytics, including 3+ years of people management
  • Strong experience building governed, reusable data products, experience with AI use cases leveraging those data products a plus.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI
  • Deep understanding of SQL and data
  • Experience with GTM and/or CX analytics—Sales funnels, campaign attribution, customer health, support resolution, and services delivery.
  • Strong ability to influence and support both centralized and decentralized analytics
  • Familiarity with Hub-and-Spoke BI models, data stewardship networks, and agile delivery

IDEAL EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field accompanied by relevant post-graduate level degree/certifications.

At Avetta, we are committed to salary transparency to ensure equitable hiring practices and promote trust. The salary range included in this job posting is based on internal and market data and the role's responsibilities. The final compensation offered to a candidate will be determined by several factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The salary range for this position is $121,000 - $165,000 per year, with bonus eligibility.
