Averna is seeking an International Tax Director to lead all global tax activities of the Group. The role involves overseeing tax strategy, risk management, compliance, and reporting in all jurisdictions where we operate. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in corporate taxation within a multinational company and multi-currency environment, with significant exposure to cross-border operations.

Requirements

• Professional degree in accounting or taxation (e.g., CPA, chartered accountant, or equivalent)
• At least 10 years of experience in corporate taxation within a multinational company and multi-currency environment
• Solid technical expertise in international tax principles, including transfer pricing, controlled foreign corporations, and withholding taxes
• Sharp business acumen and ability to design and implement tax strategies perfectly aligned with business needs
• Knowledge of US business taxation, including incoming and outgoing taxation, would be an asset
• Experience working within a multi-entity and multi-jurisdictional structure, with the ability to supervise tax matters in several countries through a combination of internal coordination and external advisors
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex international tax concepts into practical, business-oriented recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including management and development of team members and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders within a global organization
