The AVP, Asset Value Recover (AVR) Device Sales is responsible for leading the AVR Device Sales Teams across domestic and international regions, developing and leading sales strategies to meet or exceed all sell-through volume, revenue, and average sales price (ASP) sales targets for client and Assurant owned inventory, with a strong emphasis on the global market for used mobile devices.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Develop, implement, and execute an effective international sales strategy (across Europe, Latam, and APAC) to achieve or exceed company and client sales, margins, and growth goals
  • Set and lead the team to achieve all Device Sales Team targets for sell-through revenue, volumes, and asp’s
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and Data Analytics teams to create and evolve sales strategies based on data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Utilize all available sales data to effectively establish, manage, monitor, and report on AVR performance against goals and the overall sales strategy
  • Lead the Device Sales Team to achieve optimal velocity and value for all available-to-sell devices, both domestically and internationally
  • Identify, establish, develop, and manage new category disposition channels and customers, in both domestic and international markets
  • Own and grow all critical customer relationships to ensure a healthy, growing, compliant, and strategic customer base
  • Collaborate closely with AVR Analytics, Sales Execution, and Sales Operations teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience and streamline internal sales processes
  • Drive engagement and an excellent customer experience on all sales platforms and direct sales efforts
  • Coach and develop direct reports through documented professional development plans and regular meetings to evaluate progress and identify growth opportunities
  • Create compelling, audience-appropriate PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports for readouts to the business lead and other senior leadership
  • Function as the senior device sales leader to interface with and delight critical internal and external clients with market leading device sales strategies, processes, and data-driven outcomes
  • Advocate innovative ways to maximize device residual values while minimizing dependency on traditional disposition channels and sales regions
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions through to completion with minimal guidance
  • Remain current on market trends and intel as the Device Sales Team subject matter expert
  • Contribute creative ideas for sales product, process, and operational development and improvements, collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support sales optimization and drive industry-leading innovation
  • Ensure all sales activities and processes are accountable, transparent, and include all required information and documentation for a controlled and compliant environment
  • Engage in ongoing competitor analysis to ensure Assurant secures the market leading position and provides a ‘Best in Class’ customer experience
  • Analyze market factors to formulate forecasts, estimates, projections, and draw insights that impact selling initiatives
  • Perform other related tasks or duties as required or assigned

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 10+ years of sales experience with a minimum of 5 of those being used mobile device sales; 1+ in international markets
  • 5+ years of sales management experience; 1+ years of international sales management experience strongly preferred

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Experience developing short- and long-term strategic sales team and customer-specific plans
  • Ability to differentiate and create unique and specific sales strategies by client, based on varying and unique contract obligations, requirement, and goals
  • Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales plans and objectives through effective channel growth and development, and refined negotiation tactics
  • Experience using data metrics and analysis to set, measure, and report sales goals and performance
  • Extensive knowledge of mobile phones, accessories, domestic carriers, and OEMs in the secondary mobile market
  • Experience with backend software of B2B online sales platforms
  • Effective communicator and presenter of sales strategy, goals, and performance to both internal and external clients, direct reports, immediate and extended team leads and stakeholders, and senior leadership
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience successfully managing complex sales initiatives from inception to conclusion
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment
  • Presentation and public-speaking experience across a broad range of audiences
  • Background with sales and training platforms and techniques to support team member professional development and coaching
  • Experience with meeting tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to be nimble in a constantly changing environment
  • Effective time and priority management and organization
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Possess a high level understanding of supply chain and warehouse operations
  • Experience working in a secondary mobile device processing and fulfillment center
  • Knowledge of the solutions and tools of the trade used in device processing centers

Pay Range:

$138,200.00 - $230,800.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
