Job Details

Analytics Data Operations Engineers work across product, business and development teams to help increase productivity through automation, monitoring, provide consistency and ensure secure operations. A blending of developmental and infrastructure knowledge assists Analytics Data Operations Engineers in servicing business driven solutions in healthcare analytics. These individuals will have opportunities to learn and even master the configuration and use of many platforms and services, exposure to cutting edge technology and foster a collaborative approach in driving technology enablement and adoption. They will help build and maintain diagrams and documentation of supported solutions. Lastly, they support and help develop a common set of standards, the methods and procedures used for all development work and collaborate to continue to enhance, shape and protect the analytics solutions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works on simple to moderately complex tasks in support of one or more projects as a project teammember.
  • Learning skills in multiple technical environments and building knowledge of a specific business area.
  • May participate in project planning processes.
  • May identify project tasks and assist with project task effort estimations.
  • Leverages knowledge of underlying data sources and builds up specific business data domain expertise.
  • Develops and maintains documentation of systems.
  • Assists in definitions and documentation of the data elements including the entities, relationships and
  • attributes.
  • Documents technical design of data sourcing, transformation and aggregation logic.
  • Identifies patterns and trends regarding data quality and notifies stakeholders appropriately.
  • Helps to maintain the data dictionary.
  • Validates data sources.
  • Monitors and resolves daily exception reports, determining source of issues and either mitigates orescalates.
  • Communicates data integrity accuracy to the business and escalates/communicates issues whennecessary.
  • Identifies opportunities and supports the development of automated solutions to enhance the qualityof enterprise data.
  • Analyzes data issues and works with development teams for problem resolutions.
  • Monitors data dictionary statistics, analyze reports of data duplicates or other errors to provideongoing appropriate data reports.
  • Identifies problematic areas and conducts research to determine frequency or patterns to aide inresolution efforts.
  • May participate in integration testing.
  • Participates in release meetings and discussions.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Programming/Systems or Computer Science or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in technologies relevant to data/information management, such as SQL, RDBMS, Data Lake/Hadoop, MDM, Metadata, Data Quality, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to use good judgment in conveying project status and problem escalation
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

$72,200 - 103,290

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/NewYork/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
