Job Description

WORKING METHODS, ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
Project duration: 1200 days
Initial contract duration: 220 days
Expected start date: ASAP
Service delivery mode: Far-Site/Remote
Nationality: EU candidates only!

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:
• At least 2 years of specific expertise in Microsoft Dynamics.
• At least 5 years of specific expertise in Microsoft SQL Server.
• At least 5 years of specific expertise in .Net programming (Microsoft or .Net Core).

DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS
Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:
• Development of back-end applications with Microsoft technologies (such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, C#, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, Power Apps, …).
• Integration of corporate reusable solutions (like EUlogin and EUAccess) with Microsoft Dynamics.

• Implement core business logic.

  • Creation of servers and databases for functionality.
    • Design and implementation of data storage solutions.
    • Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
    • Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability.
    • Design and develop APIs.
    • Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
    • Taking lead on projects, as needed.
    • Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.
    • Writing clean, functional code on the back-end.
    • Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
    • Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
    • Meet both technical and consumer needs.
    • Write technical documentation.
    • Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
    • Interaction with the business analysts, customers, users, project leaders and the other developers.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies such as Dynamics CRM and PowerApps
• Good knowledge of Relational DBMS SQL Server.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

• Good knowledge of .Net programming.

  • Knowledge of interoperability technology (SOA, web services, message-oriented middleware, service- oriented bus, event architecture).
    • Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
    • Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git or SVN..
    • Awareness of software development and service methodologies (e.g., Agile).
    • Ability to apply high quality standards.
    • Ability to cope with fast changing technologies.
    • Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Autonomous.
    • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
    • Attention to details.
    • Analysis and problem-solving skills.
    • Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.
    • Ability to participate in technical meetings and communicate clearly on technical matters.

Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:
• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team.
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects and to adapt easily to new and evolving situations.

• Excellent Team Player.

  • Ability to understand, speak and write English (C1/C2). Other European languages will be an advantage

Qualifications

A minimum educational qualification is: Level of education corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualification Framework which typically corresponds to a bachelor degree of 3 years.
