Associate Product Manager

​​The Associate Product Manager supports and executes on assigned areas of a product strategy, helping ensure a profitable portfolio for the business. Their work is aligned to and supportive of the SBU product strategy and enables them to develop their product management skills, product knowledge and understanding of the business. The assigned areas of a product include Stanley Access Technology’s Swing Operator portfolio.

​The person in this position will also act as a product consultant across the full Stanley Access Technology’s product portfolio and closely work with internal sales team as well as external stakeholders.

​They have solid communication skills, deep technical comprehension of the product portfolio, analytical ability, and relationships within the organization to deliver results. ​

What You Will Do:

  • ​​Assists with the development of product line strategies and managing product portfolios.

  • ​Gathers and analyzes data for Product Life Cycle Management, product strategy, and business cases such as sales trends, market/channel trends, quality issues, customer/consumer feedback, competitive intelligence, warranty data, etc. and makes recommendations for the product line.

  • ​Maintains knowledge of the markets and channels of the product line(s) as well as consumer/customer needs, industry trends and go-to market strategy to build an understanding of the competitive landscape for the business & how to assess market opportunities and threats

  • ​Supports product life cycle activities such as new product development, quality and VAVE initiatives, marketing materials, price book updates and other related support activities

  • ​Understand and assess the performance of product line(s) through financial metrics & KPIs to recommend adjustments and changes to their work and positively influence business performance

  • ​Builds and maintains authentic and trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • ​Collaborates with stakeholders across the organization and clearly communicates updates and information on tasks and projects to team members and stakeholders

  • ​Consults internal and external stakeholders on questions related to technical products details, applications, relevant building codes and regulations and similar. ​

What You Need to Succeed:

  • ​​2+ years of experience in product management, engineering, finance, sales or related experience

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field

  • ​Developing business and financial acumen with ability to connect metrics to business performance and recommended actions

  • ​Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze various sources of data & identify opportunities

  • ​Ability to communicate effectively across internal and external stakeholders

  • ​Proven experience executing on strategic tasks, maintaining deadlines & ensuring appropriate communication

  • ​Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, integrate, and execute new solutions within a business

  • ​Ability to travel up to 20%​
