QA Engineer

Alabama Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer to join our team. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through test planning, execution, and defect tracking. You will collaborate closely with the development team to identify and resolve issues, and contribute to the overall improvement of our software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and executing test plans and test cases to ensure the quality of software products.
• Performing manual and automated testing on web applications and mobile apps.
• Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects and issues.
• Collaborating with the development team to investigate and resolve issues.
• Participating in code reviews to ensure the quality of code.
• Contributing to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a QA Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Experience in manual testing and test case creation.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or similar).
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
