The story of AKT London begins not in a boardroom, but under the intense heat of the stage lights in London's West End. In 2015, founders Ed Currie and Andy Coxon were performing in a musical, enduring grueling schedules of eight shows a week. The physical demands of their roles, combined with the hot lights and heavy costumes, highlighted a glaring problem: mainstream deodorants simply couldn't keep up. They were either ineffective against the sweat or stained their costumes, leaving them feeling less than fresh during their performances.

Determined to find a solution, Ed and Andy took matters into their own hands. What followed was three years of dedicated research and development in a tiny London kitchen. They experimented with natural ingredients, seeking a formula that was effective, kind to the skin, and environmentally responsible. They tested their creations on the toughest audience they knew: their fellow West End performers. After hundreds of formulations and rigorous testing, they finally perfected 'The Deodorant Balm'—a plastic-free, natural deodorant that was truly 'Born to Perform'. Since launching in 2020, AKT has grown from a kitchen experiment into a multi-award-winning brand, celebrated for its efficacy, premium fragrances, and commitment to sustainability.
