InfoSec Security Operations Team is responsible for safeguarding the security of Akamai's systems, infrastructure and providing internal advocacy for security practices. Opportunity to work closely with product and platform teams throughout the company

Become a Security Subject Matter Expert

As a Senior Security Analyst, you will be responsible for managing operations during the allocated shift and gain exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. The role requires technical competence, familiarity with recent threats, and adversarial techniques.

As a Senior Security Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Documenting response plans for new processes and use cases, contributing to the enhancement of operational efficiency
• Ensuring threats are identified and escalated across multiple business units, collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate risks effectively.
• Monitoring of security alerts generated from various security solutions
• Handling Investigations during security incidents and support incident response investigations under the guidance of senior team members.
• Providing effective feedback and tuning suggestions to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement in security processes
• Providing effective monitoring in areas such as Cloud security, Endpoint Security, Network Security etc.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5-7 years of relevant experience, in Security operations and IT Security,
• Have a High School Diploma - Bachelor's Diploma or its or equivalent
• Be knowledgeable of traditional Endpoint, Network, Perimeter, Endpoint Detection Response security product solutions, , Information security reviews, MITRE Frameworks
• Be experience with SIEM (Splunk), EDR Tools, IDS/NDR, Email security handling
• Be proficient in analytical and investigative skills
• Have Excellent technical documentation skills
