Join Agilent as a Field Service Engineer – Pathology and play a critical role in supporting scientists and healthcare professionals in delivering life-enhancing discoveries. In this dynamic role, you will provide on-site technical support, ensuring the optimal performance of Agilent’s pathology solutions. Your expertise will directly impact laboratories by minimizing downtime, optimizing efficiency, and enhancing customer success.
50% travel to the following locations is based on business needs: Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Montana, Idaho, Utah, and occasionally Nevada
Key Responsibilities:
Travel extensively (90-100% travel), including multi-state visits and overnight stays, to support customers in the field.
Perform installation, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on tissue diagnostic IVD devices, including electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and software-driven systems.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network performance issues to minimize customer disruptions.
Provide preventive maintenance and train customers to maximize system performance.
Maintain clear, proactive communication with customers, internal teams, and management.
Ensure compliance with Agilent’s policies and complete administrative tasks (e.g., documentation, expense reporting) in SAP or other systems.
Offer technical feedback to product specialists and manufacturing teams regarding performance anomalies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry).
1+ years of experience in field service or as an end-user of diagnostic equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Agilent pathology solutions is a plus but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
