SUMMARY

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilizing the existing Business Analytic Tool (BAT)/SEMOSS tools, develop and sustain a framework that links functional capabilities, technical systems, infrastructure, and portfolio management in a quantitative manner in an effort to facilitate an optimal sequencing and transitioning of legacy IT systems to the MHS Health IT portfolio future state including MHS GENESIS. Provide a Comprehensive Migration Strategy identifying all current and future interfacing IT systems with reduction/combination of capabilities identified.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience

• SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT (SME): Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge. Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision-making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills

• Experience with Military Health System (MHS) IT systems (e.g. MHS GENESIS)
• Experience with Semantic Open Source Software (SEMOSS)

Strength Demands
