Acentra seeks a Review Clerk to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
The Review Clerk provides a broad range of administrative support to a team, department and/or individual and reports to the Manager Medial Review Services. The position supports office employees with day-to-day office functions, training and non-clinical support functions (e.g. data entry and report tracking) and performs functions to support external customer access to staff and services; arrange venues; arrange conference calls, copy and organize materials for training, enter data into various software programs; answer and respond to routine calls, inquiries and questions and route calls appropriately; ensure timely and proper handling and safeguarding of confidential, private or sensitive material; performs special projects as required as well as other duties as assigned to meet business needs. This position will have the responsibility of managing the fax inboxes.
*Position is remote within the United States. However, candidates must be able to work Eastern Time zone business hours.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative/clerical support to the case review staff:
- Open and distribute all incoming faxes and mail on a daily basis, update the case information and ensure that all pertinent information is captured on a timely and accurate basis.
- Monitor incoming paperwork to ensure that the information is properly received and recorded on the designated forms and databases.
- Perform data entry of individual case review and reviewer information into the case review database as necessary.
- Review case review files daily and provide the Case Review Specialists and Case Review Managers with a current update on all case review activity.
- Initiate the case review process by assisting clients with transmission of case specific information to the case managers via completion of a service request form or online portal submissions.
- Assist Case Review Managers in following up with reviewers for specific cases via communication by telephone, e-mail, or fax.
- Monitor and triage all incoming telephone calls for the case review department and appropriately direct client and reviewer calls.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of proposal requests for the IMEDECS program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- High school diploma or the equivalent required.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products, word processing, and the Internet.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge or experience with HIPPA.
- Prior experience and/or training in secretarial capacity.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $18-22 per hour.
Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant’s placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.
