Systems Installation Engineer EIMEA – Switzerland

SUMMARY:

The Systems Installation Engineer EIMEA (Europe, India, Middle East and Africa) is responsible for systems installations and upgrades of Accuray’s products.

This position is home-office based in Vaud/Geneva - Switzerland

He/She has a direct impact on respecting projects timelines, overall product quality and on customer satisfaction.

REPORTING TO/DEPARTMENT:

Director Service Support & Infrastructure - EIMEA

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In charge of new systems installation and upgrades execution.
  • Work at various customer sites throughout EIMEA (Europe, India, Middle East, Africa) and occasionally other international customer sites.
  • Represent the company at our customer sites by interacting directly with them to understand their needs, manage their expectations to complete installations and upgrades in optimized conditions.
  • Work in team to install Accuray’s products
  • Partner with Engineering, Field Service, Manufacturing, Training, Quality and Customer Support in his/her daily job.
  • Involved directly in the deployment of new product releases
  • Train partners, internal and external, on Installation and Service processes.
  • Participate to service documentation and training material creation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge transfer with Accuray Headquarters in the US and EIMEA personnel/customers.

Safety & Quality:

  • Ensure safety and quality considerations and requirements are pro-actively addressed and implemented during resolution of issue.
  • Address, document, and manage in a timely fashion safety and quality issues raised by customers or employees.
  • Supports Accuray’s Quality System and Safety and Health Program by following procedures and mentoring others.

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee must routinely lift and/or move physical inventory, tools and test equipment, office supplies, or stored records weighing up to 35 kilos.
  • The employee must occasionally move or transport physical inventory weighing up to 680 kilos utilizing lifting/moving devises such as jib cranes, boom cranes, lifting fixtures, hand dollies and equipment dollies.
  • The employee occasionally is required to climb ladders, kneel, or crouch as required during servicing of equipment.

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical certificate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics required. An advanced technical degree is a plus.
  • Recent or end of year graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Background in analog circuits, digital circuits, and RF theory are required.
  • Must have experience with Unix, Windows systems. Linux experience a plus.
  • Experience with linear accelerators and/or robotics a plus.
  • Hands on work experience in assembly, electrical, and mechanical work.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to achieved objectives through cross-functional teams, team player and self-starter.
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills with strong service orientation and effective communication.
  • Fluent in English, any additional languages are a plus.
  • This position requires substantial travel, often for 3 or more weeks at a time.
