Role purpose:

As a Senior Analyst - Business Consultant you will act as a link between the Development Team and Product Management Team / Customers gathering functional requirements and translating them to technical requirements for the development and implementation of new products and enhancement of existing products.

This role will also be expected to collaborate with internal technical leads/architects/designers to collaborate on the overall solution approach and design. An individual filling the Senior Analyst - Business Consultant role should be comfortable being introduced during a pre-sales or project engagement and can articulate possible solutions applicable to a set of customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with the customer to understand business needs and objectives.
Elicit, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements in the Business Requirement Document.
Analyze the requirements and define the transactions and components impacted.
Create EPICs, business stories and XML schema change requests needed to support the development and delivery of the new feature.
Collaborate with software developers and architects and document the solution design that meets customer’s needs.
Create project plans, timelines, and deliverables in coordination with project managers and stakeholders, tracking progress and addressing risks and issues proactively.
Support the development, QA and UAT testing, and the implementation of new features.
Demo the functional enhancement to customer stakeholders.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Additional certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) preferred.
Proven experience as a business analyst or IT consultant, with a focus on airline operations or related domains.
Proficiency in requirements elicitation techniques, process modeling tools, and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Safe, Scrum).
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
Knowledge of airline industry standards standards, and best practices, such as IATA regulations and airline industry data exchange standards (e.g., XML, EDIFACT).
