Desktop Support Engineer will take part in evaluating, planning, migrating, deploying, and managing Microsoft 365 services. They will perform Microsoft 365 tenant management tasks, including identities, security, compliance, new employee onboarding and supporting technologies. They will also serve as subject matter expert over the entire Microsoft 365 environment. They will provide effective and efficient Tier 2-level service desk support of all user issues for both cloud-based and client application-based.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation, assessment, and testing of desktop software applications
  • Resolution of technical issues.
  • Establishment of workstations, assessment for connectivity and its proper functioning.
  • Diagnose and resolution of software and hardware issues.
  • Upgrading and maintaining Windows hardware, software, and other applications
  • Providing technical support to clarify Windows desktop problems
  • Managing and supporting end-user devices, such as desktop systems and other peripheral equipment
  • Assisting in testing, analyzing and resolving issues related to Windows operating systems
  • Providing enhanced desktop and customer support services
  • Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft 365 Teams.
  • Testing, implementation, and deployment of Exchange Online.
  • Managing Microsoft 365 cloud services, e.g., (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Azure AD, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft SQL, AD Connect, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Active Directory Federation Service (ADFS), Microsoft Licensing
  • Support Single Sign-On using Active Directory Federation Services with Multi Factor Authentication.
  • Perform scripting administration tasks and reporting using PowerShell.
  • Perform migrations and deployments related to the building, upgrade and maintenance of MS Exchange.
  • Troubleshoot active sync issues with mobile devices.
  • Help ensure team performance meets or exceeds defined Service Level Agreements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years work experience designing, deploying, and migrating Microsoft 365 services
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Progressive experience in a technical help desk or a customer service environment
  • Microsoft 365 Teams administration experience
  • Knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of client, server, networking, and Internet technologies fundamentals.
  • Database skills for SQL Server Development , SQL Reporting services.
  • Experience migrating from on premise to Microsoft 365 cloud
  • Working knowledge of Mail flow concepts (Routing, DKIM, SPF)
  • Understanding of DNS
  • Working Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory maintenance and administration
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • General Windows Server (2012-2019) administration
  • Office 365 SharePoint Administrator experience is a plus
  • Microsoft certifications a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
