AA New Zealand

The New Zealand Automobile Association (NZAA or AA) is an incorporated society (non-profit organization) that offers various services to its members. These services include breakdown assistance, vehicle repairs, driver licensing, driver training, travel maps, accommodation guides and bookings, insurance, and finance. Founded in 1903, the AA is the oldest and largest motoring club in the country. As of 2020, it has over 1.7 million members across New Zealand.

Initially established in Auckland by Dr. George Thomas Humphrey de Clive-Lowe, the AA has grown through the merging of various district automobile associations over time. The organization diversifies its offerings through joint ventures, franchise operations, and strategic partnerships. Today, AA's services encompass areas such as AA Roadservice for 24/7 breakdown assistance, AA Battery Service for mobile on-site battery replacements, and a range of insurance products including car, life, health, and pet insurance. The AA continues to innovate by providing educational services to driver aspirants and experienced motorists alike, enhancing road safety and driver skills.
