Position Summary:
This role is a technical position chartered to support sales operation in line with defined strategies in order to achieve sales targets and market share objectives for Bulk Elemental Analysis product lines through our Latin America Channel partners. This position reports to the Sales Manager BEA LATAM and provides technical sales support for indirect agent networks to ensure order and sales volumes are achieved. The job entails providing demonstration to customer, support on applications development as support to field marketing programs, such as seminars, webinars and marketing campaigns coordinated to stimulate existing markets and develop new market sectors. An ability to supervise, analyze and indicate technical trends/opportunities in the region on a routine basis is essential.
This position will also support initiatives to increase share in target Vertical Markets as Cement, Mining, Steel, among other niches in the different countries covered within Latin America Region.
Job Functions and Accountabilities:
- Provide research level applications assistance to existing customer base for the purposes of method development.
- Support field sales personnel in corporate and regional trade shows, seminar and technical symposia.
- Provide timely response back to customers on sample analysis and feasibility study activities.
- Assist Channel Managers and Partners with product training of newly appointed sales reps.
- Participate in corporate project teams in identifying new applications and products to improve business performance.
- Provide consultation to customers with regards to sample analysis recommendations.
- Provide/Run demo to customers.
- Support for Product Line Go to Market, Strategy, Initiatives.
- Support SRSM to develop a detailed understanding of local customer requirements for the product line(s) and provides input into future product specifications and product positioning.
- Provides feedback, information, market intelligence and recommendations to improve market penetration and orders growth for the PL
- Coordinate the analysis and demonstration activities of the Bulk Elemental Analysis Application Laboratory (CEC) located in Belo Horizonte-MG.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel frequently within LATAM countries - 50% of time
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or proven experience. Master degree is a plus;
- Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish, English and Portuguese
- +3 years of WDXRF, EDXRF, XRD and OES technical experience.
- Experience in management of distribution partners in Mexico, Brazil, and South America.
- Strong communications and team player skills, strong analytical skills and the ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and competitors.
- Proven track record to operate independently, with initiative, and good technical judgment. Strong interpersonal and time management skills
