Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP standards]. - Ensure timely and accurate group-level financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders. - Oversee intercompany reconciliations and group eliminations.
• Financial Controls & Compliance
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls, policies, and procedures across the group. - Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, statutory requirements, and audit standards. - Coordinate and manage external audits across all entities in the group.
• Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the group-wide budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with finance teams from subsidiaries. - Provide insightful analysis and commentary on variances to budget and forecast. - Support strategic planning and scenario modelling for group-level decision making.
• Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, including finance managers/controllers of subsidiary entities. - Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and financial discipline.
• Systems & Process Improvement
- Oversee financial systems and drive efficiency through automation and process optimization. - Support or lead implementation of group-wide ERP and reporting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a group or regional financial controller role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP and consolidation processes.
• Experience working in a multi-entity or international business environment.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
