I am a professor of Comparative Literature with a focus on Punjabi language, literature and Sanskrit poetics, combining interdisciplinary approaches across literary theory, ecocriticism and linguistics. My work emphasizes connections between classical Indian poetics and contemporary ecological and cultural discourse.
I have held senior academic and administrative roles including Head of Department, Dean, Director and Controller of Examinations at a central university, and served as a visiting scholar at international institutions. I have led funded research projects, acted as subject-matter expert for international academic bodies, and coordinated translation and curriculum initiatives.
I have authored four books and around 40 research publications, developed course material for postgraduate study, and supervised multiple Ph.D., M.Phil. and M.A. candidates. My publications and conference presentations map a sustained engagement with ecocriticism, Punjabi poetics, and comparative literary studies.
I teach Comparative Literature, Ecocriticism, Indian Poetics and area studies while mentoring doctoral research and designing interdisciplinary programs.
