At University of Lahore, I work as an Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture. My work includes research on architecture, Lahore’s built heritage, and sustainable design.
I’ve published research on the jharokha window, including its origins and transformation in Lahore. I’ve also written about Lahore’s connection with its people and traditional housing in Lahori Mandi Bazar, Walled City Lahore.
My research has explored locally available sustainable construction materials, passive daylight strategies, and climate resilience in marginalized communities. I presented work on disaster risk management through material selection and construction techniques in South Asia at an ICOMOS conference session in 2023.
Before my current role, I was a Lecturer at University of Lahore, an Architect at JERS Engineering Consultants, and a Junior Landscape architect at Arif Yazdani Associate. I’m a Registered Architect with Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners and an Affiliate Member of Institute of Architects of Pakistan.
