At Westminster Pay, I lead a team of four developers working across fintech products, including remittance, payment gateways and B2B payments. I plan and review work, oversee releases, and have contributed more than 1,000 commits to production codebases.
I built Emaal Business from scratch as a portal for business accounts, bulk payments, payroll, VAT invoices and statements. I’ve also developed remittance back offices and payment portals with KYC/AML tools, approval flows and integrations to internal REST APIs.
After an external penetration test raised 25 findings, I fixed the code-side issues, including access control and XSS vulnerabilities, and added security headers, OTP two-factor login and rate limiting. I also deploy and maintain our Laravel applications on Ubuntu servers and manage staging and production environments.
As a freelance project, I built a school management system for a Kenyan school using Java, Spring Boot, React and PostgreSQL. It supports school-year operations from admissions and fees to attendance and report cards, and I packaged and deployed it with Docker Compose.
