I’m a Senior Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience building Azure-native data platforms that power customer-facing analytics products. I design end-to-end analytics systems that connect ingestion, modeling, governance, and delivery to product and BI consumers.

Most recently at ByteDance, I built an Azure lakehouse using ADF + Databricks + Delta Lake + ADLS Gen2 with a Medallion Architecture. I modeled reporting-ready Star/Snowflake schemas and implemented SCD Type 1 and 2 for Power BI semantic models, while integrating REST APIs and external data sources for near real-time analytics ingestion.

I focus heavily on reliability, quality, and control. I reduced reporting turnaround by 50% by delivering curated datasets in Synapse Analytics, and I cut pipeline failures by 40% using monitoring with Azure Monitor and Application Insights. I also applied Great Expectations and dbt tests across analytics layers to strengthen data quality validation.

I’ve also led compliance-minded data governance, implementing Azure RBAC, audit logging, and GDPR/HIPAA-adjacent access controls. Earlier at Phoenix American, I migrated on-prem financial/CRM analytics to Azure Synapse and ADLS Gen2, built SLA-driven production pipelines, and delivered Power BI dashboards and self-service analytics for business stakeholders.
