I’m an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer with over 15 years of experience, specializing in automation, industrial networks, instrumentation, and Artificial Intelligence. I bridge complex technical systems and strategic management, with a strong academic foundation and an AI certificate from world-class institutions. In my current role at De Beers Group (Venetia Underground), I’m spearheading AI implementation for Trackless Mobile Machinery (Sandvik Auto Mine), improving production safety and efficiency.
Across my career, I’ve led safety-critical delivery and digital engineering outcomes—architecting robust underground networks (fiber optics, Cisco switching, Rajant Wi‑Fi), optimizing mine automation using Opti Mine/New Trax reporting and fleet management, and driving departmental safety audits aligned to DMR and Health Department legal requirements. Previously at Sasol Mining, I directed the Digital and Instrumentation department, managed capital projects, and executed Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for PLC/SCADA upgrades; earlier experience includes Honeywell Experion DCS administration and extensive PLC/SCADA and instrumentation integration.
